President & CEO

Since 2000, Erik has been providing expert advice to businesses to help them reduce overhead costs and streamline the employer/employee relationship. His focus is on successfully integrating state-of-the-art technology into existing business models to reduce manual processes and better track expenditures.

Jeff Schriber
Vice-President / co-founder

Jeff brings a wealth of organizational, budgeting, and business skills to the table from his strong background in the restaurant industry. His determination and forward thinking help Charlotte Payroll forge a solid future.

Marty Karriker
Co-Founder / Chief Marketing Officer

Marty Karriker, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, began his career in 1990 while in still college at NC State University. After 2-years in the field, Marty founded Charlotte Insurance in 1992. After 30 years of successfully guiding Charlotte Insurance through an acquisition by one of the largest insurance firms in the country, he decided to turn his focus and attention to Charlotte Payroll.

Business Development Executive

Rodney’s strong schooling in HR management is a powerful asset at Charlotte Payroll. He understands how to integrate human resource management with other operational and business functions within an organization.

Amy Karriker
Payroll Specialist
Amy joined the Charlotte Payroll team in January 2018. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UNC Chapel Hill. Her prior experience working for a financial investment firm required great attention to detail regarding money, finance, and investments which have benefited our clients well. Amy is also responsible for much of the banking needs for the business. She’s committed to the requirements of our customers and is an excellent team player.
Tara Skala
Payroll Specialist
Tara joined Charlotte Payroll in January of 2022, and has become a key player on our Team as a Payroll Specialist. Her experience within the culinary industry since 2009 led to her hard work ethic and quick development in the payroll industry where she has excelled. She’s accustomed to keeping clients happy and strives to exceed their needs.
Amber Peterson
Payroll Specialist
Amber joined Charlotte Payroll in March of 2023. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Fall of 2018 and has since gained experience in the payroll industry as a Payroll Processor. Her close attention to detail and desire for growth has led her to be a great addition to the team as a Payroll Specialist.
Pat Dumas
Sales Associate
Pat joined Charlotte Payroll in October 2023. Raised north of Atlanta, he went on to get his degree in Computer Information Systems at North Metro Technical College, graduating in 2006. Pat moved to Lake Norman in 2008 to work for an engineering company. In 2022, he was hired by Greencastle Appraisals to as their Appraisal Coordinator. Pat is an avid sports fan, who also enjoys going to concerts with his friends and experiencing all of the good things that Lake Norman has to offer.
Lisa Bass
Business & Benefits Advisor
Lisa joined the Charlotte Payroll team in 2023 and oversees the business and employee benefit solutions offered by LegalShield & Aflac. She has worked in the employee benefits industry since 2008 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Charlotte Payroll.
